We are kind of lazy in that we tackle projects with minimal prep or follow up, yet expect a miracle. This is the only grass seed we use, whether it is shade or sun, because it works! We have actually used it at 2 different homes with 2 completely different types of soil, with excellent results. It has successfully grown grass in bare spots and also filled in areas that we overseeded. Typically, just taking a rake to the area to be seeded and either using a spreader or tossing the grass seed by hand. Minimal watering and no straw coverage. We think this seed needs very little babying. Sprouts quickly. Green, thick grass. We use year round with same results (hot summer months do take a bit more care, but you aren't supposed to really seed in the summer anyway). A great value for the results!
