At first when I put it up it looked like a blue tarp but it grew on me. Where it’s installed it gets a lot of wind. It handles it with no problem. When it rains the rain passes though it. Hasn’t ripped at all.Great price to create shade.Just put this sun shade up today and I love the way it looks! My review got 5 stars because the material didn’t have any blemishes on it and no snags or frays.I live in Ohio so we get rain fairly often. The wind moves through it well. It blocks a lot of the sun. I can tell a difference from standing under direct sunlight vs under the shade. Even with it being a light color (sand). Temp also.With Bird Flu hovering :( we purchased these to cover our Chicken coops. Bird Flu happens when "Visiting Birds" flying over stop to visit and leave unwanted gifts in "your healthy Chicken coops." Covering your coops takes care of this. :)Texas heat is so bad that we got it to block sun from the back of the house. It’s over our patio. We ordered a second one to go over our AC.I received the square 10x10 sail on May 8th. I put it up within a couple of days of delivery. As of today, the sail has been up and exposed to heavy rain and sun for approximately 18 days.The sail is a described except that it's not 10'x10' when measured shortly after taken out of its package. All sides measured at 9' 10" except one was slightly longer. As shown in the pics, it's not a true square. But I expected it to be so. The area that I wanted to cover is not 10' exactly but when adding the drop angle from the the two higher points of attachment, that's what I needed.As some reviews state, the sail comes out of the packaging with creases and wrinkles. In my case, the weather took care of that. I don't know if other reviewers waited until the material was exposed to the elements to make a final review.I did not use the rope to attach any of the four corners so I can't tell you how durable is the rope. I used galvanized shackles, brick wall anchors, and eye hooks. All in all the hardware cost was around 15.So far, it's everything I needed... With one exception. The material stretches to the point where it starts sagging a bit. Perhaps that is why it is described as a 10x10 and the manufacturer knows that the material will stretch from 9' 10" to a final 10'. I would have to measure it again and read other reviews to see if other buyers have experienced the same.I imagine that at some point the sail will stop stretching. This is something important to take into account based on the area that you want to cover from the sun.As a final note, I'd say that turnbuckle s (as shown in the listing's pics) will give you that adjustability to take the slack off.Does let sun throughEl producto es de buena calidad.It is not turquoise green , more blue .
