16' x 20' Brown Sun Shade Sail Rectangle Canopy - Commercial Grade UV Protection Outdoor Shade for Patio, Garden, Pool & Backyard

Hello! This sail is a great value. Good price comparatively speaking.However, where I live, I get some big winds off Lake Erie. My backyard is some kind of microburst zone! I started by attaching to my brick house and 2 - 4x4 posts. I did not go deep enough or wide enough with the first set. They ended up being loose. The sail will stretch out over the first year by the way. There is not a steel cable on the edges. Probably one reason they are priced well.The second year I went to 3 feet deep with 4x4 posts and angled out. Looked cool. Had one big wind storm and it snapped one of the 4x4's in half like a toothpick. Right at the base.This year I Sunk 2" black pipe, 3' deep and 100lbs of cement in each hole and angled out. Sail going up today. I feel optimistic about this set up but I did last year as well! I will update the review.The first one lasted 2 years got a little dry rot and storm tore it to pieces but it worked great until then and i did purchase another one.I updated to this one for the ease of putting it up for sun protection and taking down in storm season. This dark brown does a better job of providing the needed shade and looks very nice with the house. (As oppose to the sand color sails we had before) We had to separately purchase heavy duty attachments for installation into brick walls bc the previous ones could not withstand the weight/torque of a 16 x 20ft sail and regular wind. So far this sail has been very helpful for these 100s degrees days.We had bought this before about 3 years prior. This one was not 16 x 20 like I previously ordered. We had to make some adjustments with different hardware to make it work.NoneThe item was greatAs you can tell from my above drone picture. With equal tension applied to each point, the left side is not curved as the right is and the bottom right is shorter. Basically every side is not the same from the other. Be prepared to allow for this flaw and lack of quality control with manufacturing as this requires yourself to extend or shorten your tie lines accordingly. Durability will be noted in time but it does what it is supposed to do for now. I did reach out to the manufacture and they did express their concern and asked if I wanted to return and remake it or refund a portion of the amount which I thought was applicable considering I already have it installed.These things are AWESOME. Over a year and through one of the rainiest windiest seasons we have ever had there is not a tear. The grommets have held tight and fading is minimal. Seller communication was awesome as they didn’t have the color I originally ordered in stock and contacted me within an hour to apologize and make it right, which they did and I was actually happy because the color we decided on actually looks better than what I had originally picked. I would like to order more for the other side of the house from the same seller but the email and phone number I have no longer work.
